The Cincinnati Bengals defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday, 27-10, behind great performances from quarterback Andy Dalton, wide receiver A.J. Green and the defensive unit as a whole.

The win moves Cincinnati to 3-1 and into a tie for first place in the AFC North. Dalton was 20-of-31 for 244 yards and two touchdowns. He added a touchdown on the ground as well. A.J. Green caught six passes for 117 yards and a touchdown. Overall, the Bengals once again took care of business, something for which Josh Kirkendall of SB Nation’s Cincinnati Bengals blog, Cincy Jungle, believes the team does not receive enough credit.

The knock on the Cincinnati Bengals, dating back to last season, is that they can’t beat the good teams. Yet those that knock the team acknowledge that Cincinnati is capable enough to beat those underdogs that they’re supposed to beat. And that’s clear. Perhaps that was the case against the Jaguars in Jacksonville on Sunday, where the Bengals put together their best total effort during the team’s 27-10 win over the Jaguars.

The Bengals sacked Jacksonville quarterback Blaine Gabbert six times Sunday and allowed only three second-half points. Their next contest comes against the Miami Dolphins.
