Only one game on the college hockey docket for Sunday. The Robert Morris Colonials take on the Quinnipiac Bobcats in the second game of a back-to-back non-conference series. On Saturday, Quinnipiac beat Robert Morris 4-0 thanks to goals by Russell Goodman, Corey Hibbler, Loren Barron and Jeremy Langlois and the goaltending of Eric Hartzell. With the win, the Bobcats are now 2-0-0 with both wins coming in non-conference play; the Colonials drop to 0-1-0.
College Hockey schedule 2012: Robert Morris vs. Quinnipiac
Quinnipiac won the first game of this two game, back-to-back series, 4-0.

While their seventh place finish in the Atlantic Hockey League was less than stellar, Robert Morris should expect an uphill climb when it comes to their new season. The Colonials lost 10 seniors over the summer, a group which included the team’s top four seniors. Picked to finish eighth this season, they’re depending on the returners to make their impact.
In a coaches' poll, Quinnipiac is expected to finish fourth in the ECAC this season. They are lead by forward Matthew Peca (son of former NHL-er Mike Peca) and twins Connor and Kellen Jones on the top line. Currently, Quinnipiac has three future NHL players on their roster: Kellen Jones drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in 2010; Peca drafted in 2011 by the Tampa Bay Lightning. Jordan Samuels-Thomas drafted in 2009 by the Atlanta Thrashers Winniepeg Jets. Thanks in part to the NHL lockout, many drafted stayed with their college teams instead of leaving school to pursue the big leagues.
