Cardinals vs. Giants, 2012 NLCS Game 2: Game time, TV schedule, lineups and more

The St. Louis Cardinals and San Francisco Giants continue their NLCS matchup with Game 2 on Monday at 8:00 p.m. on FOX.

St. Louis Cardinals at San Francisco Giants NLCS Game 2
Monday, Oct 15 at 8:00 p.m. ET on Fox.

Game 2 of the NLCS will feature a matchup of starting pitchers Chris Carpenter and Ryan Vogelsong. Each started his team's Division Series Game 3. Carpenter threw 5⅔ innings against the Washington Nationals. He scattered seven hits and two walks, but did not allow a run. Vogelsong threw five innings against the Cincinnati Reds, surrendering three hits, three walks and a single run.

No team has ever come back from losing the first two games at home to win a league championship series (the Yankees are already staring that fact in the face this year), so winning this game becomes all th emore important for the Giants.

Announcers for the game will be Joe Buck and Tim McCarver, with Erin Andrews as field reporter. Fox will also have a pregame show, in collaboration with MLB Network, at 7:30 p.m. ET, with Matt Vasgersian, Harold Reynolds, Eric Karros and A.J. Pierzynski.
