Giants vs. Cardinals, 2012 NLCS Game 3: Time, TV schedule, starting pitchers and more

The Giants and Cardinals face off Wednesday at Busch Stadium, with Matt Cain and Kyle Lohse squaring off.

San Francisco Giants vs. St. Louis Cardinals

When: Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 4 p.m. ET on FOX

Starting pitchers: Matt Cain and Kyle Lohse

The San Francisco Giants will travel to Busch Stadium to face the St. Louis Cardinals at 4 p.m. ET on Wednesday afternoon, in Game 3 of the NLCS. The game will be carried by FOX.

After a 1-1 split in San Francisco, the Giants will put Matt Cain on the mound. The 28-year-old righty was 16-5 with a 2.79 ERA during the regular season, including tossing the first perfect game in Giants history on June 13. He faced the Redbirds for two games this year, posting a 1-1 record and a 6.94 ERA in 11⅔ innings, giving up nine runs and fanning 13.

Kyle Lohse, the most consistent starter for St. Louis in 2012, will start Wednesday. After achieving a remarkable 16-3 record, and arguably a solid case for the NL Cy Young Award, he allowed a run on two hits in seven frames of work for a no-decision against the Nationals in Game 4 of the NLDS.
