NFL picks and predictions Week 7: Lions vs. Bears

Pundits all pick Bears to best the Lions

The Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears face off on Monday Night Football for their first divisional contest of the 2012 season, as the Lions head to Solider Field.

When the teams last met Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford was nursing a broken finger, and it hampered him throughout the game-- throwing four interceptions en route to Detroit's worst loss of the season, falling 37-to-13. The year has changed, but pundits believe the song will remain the same, with a unanimous agreement that Chicago will best the Lions yet again.

ESPN’s analysts are all picking the Bears, with both their ‘Accuscore’ system and the public siding with Lovie Smith’s team. The same can be said for Yahoo! where their three analysts, and users also believing Chicago’s opportunistic defense will be too much for Stafford and a Lions.

Peter King has gone a step further, also predicting the Bears to win, but adding a margin too-- a 27-20 victory for the home team, according to the Sports Illustrated writer.

Emotions will yet again run high, and with Monday’s game being another match-up between Detroit’s vaunted offense, and Chicago’s stifling defense it should be an excellent national game.
