Dwight Howard appeared back to his interior-dominating self in his debut for the Los Angeles Lakers at the Staples Center on Sunday night. Nevertheless, the Lakers could not top the Sacramento Kings, losing 99-92, to remain winless in the preseason.
Dwight Howard debuts as Lakers remain winless in preseason with loss to Kings
Dwight Howard was back on the court and despite making his debut for the Los Angeles, the Lakers lost to the Kings 99-92 at home on Sunday night.

It didn’t take long for Howard to introduce his talent to the L.A. fans as he recorded a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds in 33 minutes. In the paint, Howard showed why he is a three-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year by swatting four shots.
Still, the Lakers center seemed to be dealing with some rust after sitting out with a surgically repaired back, committing four of Los Angeles’ 22 turnovers in the game.
Kobe Bryant led the Lakers on offense with a game-high 21 points on 6-for-12 shooting. Kings center DeMarcus Cousins countered Howard with 16 points and six rebounds of his own.
The Lakers will look to break their six-game losing streak against the L.A. Clippers on Wednesday night.
