On Monday night, the San Francisco Giants left little debate about who was the best team in the National League. The Giants routed the Cardinals in Game 7, using a five-run third inning on their way to a dominant 9-0 win.
Giants celebrate World Series berth, in GIFs
The San Francisco Giants celebrating the NLCS win over the Cardinals, as told through GIFs.

In a driving rain that would have halted play if it weren’t the bottom of the 9th inning in a Game 7, the Giants recorded the final three outs separating them from a date with the Detroit Tigers. And then, in one of sports’ greatest repeated scenes, a bunch of grown men ran around in a big yard like they were little kids.
Technically Marco Scutaro taking in the rain wasn’t part of the celebration, but this GIF was simply too good not to include.
This GIF of Giants’ Sergio Romo celebrating after getting the final out is proof that all future slo-mo shots should include some sort of precipitation.
The pure, child-like joy and enthusiasm here is just amazing.
Fittingly, Scutaro, the NLCS MVP, caught the final out.
We’ve had Sergio Romo in slo-mo, so how about Romo IN FAST FORWARD AHH YEAH WE’RE GOING TO THE WORLD SERIES!
“We did it! We did it! Let’s bounce around in a big group!”
“I enjoy celebrating by excitedly taking off my hat! ... Then sloooowly backing away and calmly, responsibly placing it back atop my ahead! Celebrating can be safe, too!”
