Giants vs. Tigers, 2012 World Series Game 3: Game time, TV schedule, lineups and more

The Detroit Tigers and San Francisco Giants will meet for Game 3 of the World Series on Saturday at 8:00 p.m. EDT on FOX.

San Francisco Giants at Detroit Tigers, World Series Game 3

Saturday, October 27, 2012, 8:00 p.m. EDT on FOX

Probable pitchers: Ryan Vogelsong vs. Anibal Sanchez

The Tigers limp back to Detroit licking their wounds after the Giants outscored them by a combined score of 10-3 in Games 1 and 2. The Tigers were an impressive 50-31 at Comerica Park this year, so they will be hoping the home cooking can help them turn it around.

Clawing back from an 0-2 deficit will not be easy for the AL Champs. Anibal Sanchez will take the hill in attempt to get the comeback started. He'll try to duplicate his last outing against the New York Yankees in the ALCS. Sanchez twirled a gem in Game 2, giving up zero runs and only three hits in seven innings while striking out seven. The Giants will counter with Ryan Vogelsong, who is coming off a spectacular outing of his own. He keyed the Giants' win over the St. Louis Cardinals in Game 6 of the NLCS with seven dominant innings, striking out a career-high nine batters.

FOX’s broadcast will feature play-by-play from Joe Buck with color commentary from his long-time partner, Tim McCarver. First pitch is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. EDT, with the pre-game show starting at 7:30.
