Denard Robinson injury: Michigan QB leaves game

Denard Robinson is probable for the second half against Nebraska.

Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson is probable for the second half against Nebraska after he suffered a cut on his elbow, according to University of Michigan radio.

Robinson was taken out of the game after rushing for 7 yards to set up 1st-and-goal on the Nebraska 8-yard line with 4:44 left in the second quarter. Backup quarterback Russell Bellomy rushed for a yard and threw two incomplete passes as Michigan had to settle for a 24-yard field goal to cut Nebraska’s lead to 7-6.

Taylor Martinez fumbled with 59 seconds left in the second quarter and Michigan recovered, but Robinson did not lead the offense onto the field. Bellomy threw two incomplete passes and was sacked on third down to end the half.

Robinson could be seen at the end of the bench discussing the injury with Michigan’s head trainer. He jogged off the field with the team as the half ended and appeared to be favoring his left arm.

Robinson is 6-of-11 passing for 55 yards and has rushed 10 times for 46 yards.
