Kaka gets Brazil recall

For the first time since the 2010 World Cup, Kaka is in the Brazil squad, thanks in part to Paulo Henrique Ganso’s injuries. The center of midfield is a big curious for A Seleção.

Kaká has earned a recall to the Brazil squad, cracking the team for the first time since the World Cup. Paulo Henrique Ganso isn't playing, and apparently Hernanes and Bruno Cesar aren't on Mano Manezes' radar screen. He should back up Oscar over Brazil's next two games, which take place on Oct. 11 against Iran and Oct. 16 against Japan.

The center of midfield is a bit of a curious position at the moment, with Lucas Leiva and Rômulo suffering from injuries. Manezes has opted to call in impressive Grêmio youngster Fernando, Chelsea sometimes-central player Ramires, Tottenham Hotspur's Sandro and Paulinho of Corinthians. That leaves no room for Shakhtar Donetsk star Fernandinho, who is in excellent form.

Fernando will make his debut if he plays, as will Roma’s Leandro Castán, who is this squad’s fourth central defender.
