A couple of obvious oddities here:
Detroit Tigers set Division Series roster
Don Kelly was essentially released in August, but nobody claimed him, so he went back to Triple-A, got called up in September, and now has landed a spot on a postseason roster.
Rick Porcello finished the season with a 4.69 ERA, is highly unlikely to start a game in this series, and has made exactly zero relief appearances in his four-year career ... but he's got a spot on the roster, too. This might wind up looking like one of Jim Leyland's best moves ever, or one of his worst.*
* Correction - Porcello did make two relief appearances in the A.L.C.S. one year ago; he fared well in one of the outings, and not well in the other.
