Bronson Arroyo carried a no-hitter into the fifth inning, while the Reds’ offense bombed the Giants for nine runs to win Game Two of the National League Division Series at AT&T Park, 9-0. Cincinnati now leads the series against San Francisco, 2-0.

After inducing three fly-outs in the first inning, Madison Bumgarner was touched for a solo home run by Ryan Ludwick in the top of the second. The Reds tacked on three more runs in the fourth inning off singles by Scott Rolen and Ryan Hanigan, bringing the score to 4-0. Bumgarner was chased out after 4⅓ innings, giving up seven hits and striking out four along the way.

Arroyo, meanwhile, mowed down 14 consecutive batters before Brandon Belt lined a single to center field. However, it was the only hit the righty would allow in seven innings of work, and one of only two the Giants would earn in the game.

Cincinnati put the game out of reach in the eighth inning. Jay Bruce lined a two-RBI double off Jose Mijares to give the Reds a six-run lead, and he would come around to score later in the inning on Hanigan's single to center field off Guillermo Mota. Drew Stubbs drove a triple to center, plating Hanigan, then scored on Brandon Phillips’ double. When the bloodbath was over, Cincinnati held a 9-0 lead, and while San Francisco put a pair of runners on in the ninth, neither scored.
