Barry Zito starting Game 4 for Giants

Giants manager Bruce Bochy has named his starter for Game 4 -- if there is one.

Gary A. Vasquez-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The San Francisco Giants are one game away from elimination in their Division Series against the Cincinnati Reds; the teams are off Monday, heading to San Francisco for Game 3 Tuesday. If the Reds win, it’s all over.

If the Giants, behind Ryan Vogelsong, can win Game 3, there will be a Game 4. Late Sunday, there were reports that manager Bruce Bochy might come back with Game 1 starter Matt Cain in Game 4.

That talk has all been squelched with this:

First, the Giants have to get there. After scoring just two runs and allowing 14 to the Reds in the first two games of the series, they need both pitching and hitting help to send the series to that desired Game 4.
