Auburn-Georgia: Students section empty for second half

The Auburn student section is just about empty for the second half of the Tigers’ game against Georgia. It doesn’t help that Auburn trails its rival 28-0.

The Auburn students section showed up pretty well for today’s game against rival Georgia, especially considering the team’s struggles this year. After a half of action, the students section has voted with its feet and has gone on home. We saw similar scenes in Lexington last week for Kentucky’s game against Vanderbilt which was swiftly followed by Joker Phillips being dismissed as Kentucky’s head coach. Are Auburn fans, with rumors of a change already being prepared for, hoping to accomplish the same thing tonight?

In one of sports’ finer traditions, disgruntled fans have resorted to putting bags on their heads in order to avoid being associated with the product on the field.
