This was, apparently, a graphical error by ESPN. Or it was an intentional play on words. Or, well ... who knows at this point. Whatever the case, the phrase “Roethlisberger ‘drink and drunk’” appeared on the sidebar of ESPN ahead of Monday Night Football.
Ben Roethlisberger and a ‘drink and drunk’ graphic
A pretty Freudian graphic during the Monday Night Football pregame show...

And it was, honestly, pretty hilarious. The appearance of the graphic prompted Chris Berman to apologize a short time later. He called it a “graphical error,” so one would assume it wasn’t intentional. Or maybe there was just backlash that stemmed from it, though it would seem everyone was laughing.
Roethlisberger drinking and “drunking” is a pretty graphic error though, amirite?
Maybe this wasn’t funny to Roethlisberger, but there’s some humor in this all. I mean, it had to be intentional, right? That couldn’t have just been two typos in which the letter ‘r’ was inserted (should’ve been dink and dunk, perhaps?). Or if it was, I guess we can finally conclude -- once and for all -- that Freud was correct.
