The junior will likely see his first action of the 2012-2013 season against the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders on Sunday.

Hays Carlyon of the Florida Times-Union reports that Donovan has ended the suspension for Wilbekin, which came after “a violation of team rules.” Wilbekin missed the first two wins of the No. 10 Gators’ season, as well as the cancelled season opener against Georgetown on the USS Bataan at Mayport Naval Station. Carlyon writes that Donovan won’t start Wilbekin against the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders on Sunday.
As a sophomore, Wilbekin averaged 15.2 minutes per game for the Gators, contributing 2.6 points and 1.5 rebounds. He was fourth on the Gators with 1.6 assists per game, and will need to step it up to help replace graduated senior Erving Walker (4.6 assists per game last year). Florida is currently ranked 160th nationwide in assists per game, averaging just 13.5 this season.
