NBA scores: Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant notch triple-doubles in wins

Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant each had triple-doubles as the Lakers and Thunder won. Here are all of Sunday’s NBA scores.

Harry How

Lakers 119, Rockets 108

Mike D'Antoni wasn't technically behind the bench yet, but the Lakers sure looked like a Mike D'Antoni team in rolling up 119 points on the Rockets. Kobe Bryant took advantage of the increased freedom with 22 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists, and Dwight Howard dominated Omer Asik and all the other Rockets bigs with 28 points and 13 rebounds. The Lakers improved to 4-1 under Bernie Bickerstaff, and the only loss was in the final seconds against the Spurs. Maybe he should be the coach.

Thunder 119, Warriors 109

Can you believe that Kevin Durant didn't have a triple-double in his career before this game? I was kind of stunned myself. You can't say that about him anymore, though, after he scored 25 points, pulled down 13 rebounds and dished out 10 assists in an easy win. Don't look now, but the Thunder are 8-3, with two of the three losses to the Spurs and Grizzlies. They've recovered nicely from losing James Harden.

Knicks 88, Pacers 76

That sound you just heard? That's another brick by the Indiana Pacers' offense. An already struggling unit sank to a new low Sunday afternoon, hitting just 39 percent from the field, including 26 percent in the first half. Roy Hibbert was 3-10 for six points, continuing his ongoing disappearance early this season. The Knicks didn't exactly light it up themselves, but it was enough given the Pacers' offensive swoon.

Nets 99, Kings 90

Andray Baltche? No, on Sunday night, he was actually Andray Blatche. The former Wizards castoff scored an improbable 22 points on 11-12 shooting to lead the Nets to a win on the road. If you're a Wizards fan, you might not want to look at this box score.

76ers 86, Cavaliers 79

You're not going to find too many people that can hold Kyrie Irving to nine points on 4-14 shooting. Jrue Holiday, apparently, is one of those people. Holiday dogged Irving all game, displaying why he deserved a big contract extension, and the 76ers did just enough to hold on down the stretch for the win. Evan Turner actually showed up, scoring 19 points and grabbing nine rebounds.

Pistons 103, Celtics 80

But at least Rajon Rondo’s 10-assist streak lives!

Blazers 102, Bulls 94

It's weird to see a Tom Thibodeau-coached team surrender 102 points on 49 percent shooting and 40 percent from the three-point line, but such is life on the annual Circus trip. After losing to the Clippers on Saturday night, beating Portland in Portland the next day was too much to ask.

Raptors 97, Magic 86

A close game throughout ended with a 16-4 Raptors run and a relatively clean Toronto victory. DeMar DeRozan continues to be possessed by the spirit of a near-elite shooting guard, scoring 20 points and grabbing nine rebounds.
