But I say we are more alike than ever before. It’s no longer about red states or blue states. Now it’s about enduring the Sports Douchebags.
It matters not what social class you identify with -- be it court-side at a Lakers game or amongst the bleacher creatures in Yankee Stadium -- and nor does geography play a factor, as clearly douchebag sports fans can be found in New York and California, and all points in between. What matters is that we are all, at some point, subjected to a backwards-hat, jersey-wearing, “OOOOOHHHHHHH”-yelling sports fan. United States, indeed.
