Zagora (FR) held off Marketing Mix and The Fugue (FR) in the final quarter-mile to win the 2012 Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf. The Fugue was full of run coming off the far turn but she had no where to run for most of the stretch drive. Zagora, with a much cleaner trip around the track, kicked clear of her rivals, putting away the race inside the final furlongs. Marketing Mix, The Fugue and Ridasiyna (FR) finished second, third and fourth.
