The KHL features one game Saturday, as Metallurg Novokuznetsk meets up with Sibir Novosibirsk.
2012 KHL schedule: Metallurg Novokuznetsk takes on Sibir Novosibirsk
Only one KHL game is on tap for Saturday, as Metallurg Novokuznetsk squares off against Sibir Nobosibirsk.

Saturday’s contest is one of the rare KHL games that features no NHL players. Many players from the top professional league in the world are biding their time in the KHL while the NHL and NHL Players’ Association attempt to come up with a new Collective Bargaining Agreement.
The current NHL lockout has been in place since Sept. 15. On Friday, the league announced the cancellation of games through Dec. 14 and the All-Star Weekend, originally set for Jan. 25-27, 2013.
Metallurg Novokuznetsk and Sibir Novosibirsk compete in the KHL’s East Conference. Through 27 games played, Sibir is in sixth place on 43 points, and Metallurg is tied for seventh on 40 points. Sibir and Metallurg rank third and fourth in the Chernyshev Division, respectively.
Sunday’s KHL schedule will feature plenty of action, as nine games are scheduled to take place.
