Dust and Diamonds briefly grabbed the lead at the top of the stretch but couldn’t keep up with the winner for more than a few strides. Switch closed from well back to finish third while Belle of the Hall rounded out the superfecta.
Groupie Doll is a 4-year-old daughter of Bowman’s Band out of a Silver Deputy mare (Deputy Doll), trained by William Bradley and ridden by Rajiv Maragh.
