Breeders’ Cup 2012 Sprint Results: Trinniberg holds off The Lumber Guy
A game Trinniberg would not be denied in the Breeders’ Cup Sprint.

As expected, the early pace was brutally fast in the biggest sprint race in North America. Sum of the Parts carved out fractions of 21.41 and 43.73 through the first half-mile, and Trinniberg stopped the clock in the blistering 1:07.98. Trinnigberg sat several lengths behind the early speed, keeping plenty of energy in reserve to kick on for home at the top of the lane.
Trinniberg, sent off at odds of 14/1, keyed a superfecta paying $5,443.29 for a $0.10 base wager.
Trinniberg is a 3-year-old colt by Teuflesbergy out of a Goldminers Gold mare (Bella Dorato), trained by Shivananda Parbhoo and ridden by Willie Martinez.
