Those waiting for the Atlanta Falcons to slip up kept waiting as the NFC leaders remained unbeaten with a win on Sunday night. Those buying in to the Chicago Bears' struggles in Week 8 translating to a drop off this week were also mistaken as the Bears won in dominating fashion.
NFL playoff picture: Falcons, Bears lead the NFC
The Atlanta Falcons and Chicago Bears continued to separate themselves from the NFC pack as the playoff picture is a bit more clearer after Week 9.

Atlanta and Chicago continue to hold the No. 1 and No. 2 seed, respectively, in the NFC as the playoff pictures comes a little more into focus.
Behind the top two teams, the San Fransisco 49ers and New York Giants remain division leaders, with the 49ers moving up to the No. 3 seed despite being on a bye, due to the Giants falling to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Green Bay Packers currently hold the first wild-card spot after topping the Arizona Cardinals, while the Seattle Seahawks are in position to be the final playoff team with a tiebreaker over the Minnesota Vikings. With wins on Sunday, the Detroit Lions and Tampa Bay Buccaneers also move into the hunt for a chance at the postseason.
Though the NFC picture may offer more clarity than the AFC at the moment, there is a still a lot of season left for teams to emerge and fall.
