The Ohio St. Buckeyes and Marquette Golden Eagles will kick off the college basketball season Friday night (yes, already).
Ohio State vs. Marquette: First look at aircraft carrier court
The Buckeyes and Golden Eagles will be playing a basketball game on an aircraft carrier. This is nuts.

They will play their game ON BOARD A FRIGGING AIRCRAFT CARRIER similar to last year's opener between the Michigan St. Spartans and North Carolina Tar Heels.
The above image of the setup for Friday’s game comes to us via the Twitter feed of OSU center Amir Williams.
Please note that the court is set up so that one of the baskets abuts the dang ocean. You know what that means? AIRBALLS INTO THE BRINY DEEP. They’re probably still working on a host of seals and merpeople to stand in back of that basket and go “WHOOOOOOOAAAAAA” and/or “URF URF URF” during free throw attempts.

The Florida Gators and Georgetown Hoyas will also be playing their opener on an aircraft carrier, because you can never have enough floating games. Just ask Nathan Detroit. Casual Hoya has more info and coverage of the Georgetown-Florida game.
