Veteran will rejoin Yankee outfield.

Jesse Johnson-US PRESSWIRE

The New York Yankees will re-sign outfielder Ichiro Suzuki. Craig Carton of WFAN was the first to report the deal. Ken Rosenthal and Jon Heyman have both confirmed the reports. They are still working out the specifics of the contract.

For his career, Ichiro has has hit .322/.365/.419 with 2,606 hits, 104 home runs and 452 stolen bases. Suzuki is a 10-time All-Star and Gold Glove winner. He also won both the American League MVP and Rookie of the Year awards in 2001.

Suzuki will join Brett Gardner and Curtis Granderson in the Yankee outfield. Nick Swisher is not expected to return. The Yankees also completed a one-year deal on Tuesday with third baseman Kevin Youkilis.
