The Los Angeles Angels shocked the world (again) on Thursday when they signed Josh Hamilton to a big five-year contract. Hamilton will fill the void left by the departing Torii Hunter, who wasn't given much of an offer to return after a big 2012 season.
Torii Hunter is miffed, slightly hypocritical
The former Angels outfielder is unhappy about the newest Angels outfielder. He’s also having some perspective issues.

Hunter vented about the Hamilton signing on Twitter, but, uh ... maybe he shouldn’t have.
I was told money was tight but I guess the Arte had money hidden under a Mattress. Business is business but don't lie.

1. There’s a wacky thing in sports where if you have a chance to sign a better player, you’ll find the money to get it done.
2. Maybe we should talk about being up-front where business is concerned here, bruh. From the Los Angeles Times this past July:
If Hunter doesn't return to the Angels, he said he'd consider playing for three other teams, the New York Yankees, Texas Rangers or Dodgers. Otherwise, he will retire.
"If I don't get offers from one of those four," Hunter said, "then it's, 'See ya!' It's about winning."
Torii Hunter, as you may recall, signed with the Detroit Tigers.
All in the game.
