Kain Colter is the quarterback of the Northwestern Wildcats, but he might be angling to branch out into being the preeminent host of Twitter-based art competitions. On Twitter and Instagram on Friday, Colter posted the following announcement:
Northwestern had a Spongebob drawing competition
The Northwestern Wildcats are killing some time until the Gator Bowl. They should probably buy a deck of playing cards or something.

I need everybody's help...we had a Spongbob drawing competition and we need y'all to decide the winner. Leave comment with winning number. Gracias
“Spongbob,” indeed. As the accompanying set of illustrations demonstrate, this is a collection of terrifying alternatives to everyone’s favorite pineapple-dweller.
No. 2 clearly the weakest of the bunch, forgetting the buck teeth, eyelashes and signature protruding nose. The half-closed eyes are an interesting touch. Oh my god, I think No. 2 may have actually been attempting to draw Garfield.
No. 3 may display the best artistic ability, but definitely loses points for fork-hands. Oh, whoops, just noticed that No. 1 has drawn “Spongbob”‘s eyes as slowly filling with ink or some other similarly black bile. This is a glimpse into madness. Don’t stare directly at these for too long.
