NFL coaching rumors: Ray Horton will interview with Bills, Browns, Cardinals

Cardinals defensive coordinator Ray Horton will interview for multiple NFL head coaching jobs.

Arizona Cardinals defensive coordinator Ray Horton will interview with his current team, the Buffalo Bills and Cleveland Browns for their vacant head coaching positions, according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports.

The Bills, Browns and Cardinals all fired their head coaches Monday, releasing Chan Gailey, Pat Shurmur and Ken Whisenhunt, respectively.

Horton, 52, was named defensive coordinator for the Cardinals Feb. 9, 2011. This season, Arizona ranked 12th in the NFL, allowing 337.8 yards per game. Last year, the Cardinals gave up 355.1 yards per contest, which tied for 18th in the league.

In addition to Gailey, Shurmur and Whisenhunt, four other NFL head coaches were fired Monday.

The Chicago Bears fired Lovie Smith, while the Philadelphia Eagles released Andy Reid. The Kansas City Chiefs fired Romeo Crennel, and the San Diego Chargers parted ways with Norv Turner.
