Adam Schefter of ESPN reports today that Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck and Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III will both have their pro day workouts on March 22.

While this may simply be a coincidence, it’s something Griffin is likely reveling in. He’s been open in wanting to be the No. 1 pick in the draft and now he’ll get to upstage Luck on their workout day.
Beginning at the NFL Scouting Combine and throughout the offseason, Griffin should unquestionably be the star of the meat market months. His athleticism is off the charts and he’s charismatic with flawless character. If Griffin should overtake Luck as the No. 1 pick in the draft, which remains unlikely, having their workout on the same day is another step in the process.
As much as it will be worth monitoring how the quarterbacks throw at their pro days (if they choose to), how many Indianapolis Colts representatives in attendance will be just as telling.
