The Atlanta Hawks, even without injured All-Star Al Horford, are a good basketball team. It's just hard to tell when the Miami Heat are playing as well as they did in the first half of their game with Atlanta Sunday night.
Heat Vs. Hawks Halftime Score: Miami All Over Atlanta, 63-41
Miami’s Big Three has outscored the entire Atlanta roster in the first half.
Everything has gone right for Miami in the first half, with LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh combining for 45 points, 4 more than the entire Hawks roster.
This is the type of game LeBron must have envisioned when he rashly started counting championships last summer, with LeBron on pace for a triple-double, with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists, while Wade has been scoring at will, getting 21 points on 7-11 shooting.
Nothing has gone right for Atlanta, as their lack of a true shot-blocking center has been exposed by Wade and LeBron's penetration while Miami's excellent team defense has locked down Josh Smith, shooting 3-10 from the field, and Joe Johnson, shooting 3-8.
At the half, the Heat lead the Hawks in Atlanta, 63-41.
