Despite deciding not to throw, Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III is already stealing the show at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis.

Of note, and after much questioning by the media, Griffin showed off Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles socks. He vowed to stop wearing Hello Kitty socks if whatever team drafts him asks. He repeatedly let everyone know his official height is 6-foot-2 3/8. He said he has plans to meet with the Browns and Chiefs.

But eventually Griffin got down to serious football matters. Namely, he was defending the Baylor offense and his playing style.

The Heisman Trophy winner made it a point to say the offense typically goes through three reads before he targets the check down option. The only time Griffin lost his smile during the 15-minute session was when someone mentioned an analyst said the Baylor offense was “simple.”

”I’d like to sit down with ‘em and show ‘em how simple it is, Griffin said. “It’s not a simple offense. It’s a really great offense and it’s a quarterback-friendly offense. Simple would not be the word to describe it.”

Griffin also tackled the misconception that he makes more plays with his feet than his arm.

“I think it’s just a misconception that comes with being a dual-threat quarterback,” Griffin said Friday. “You’re run first, throw second.

“I think I’ve proven I’m throw first, then run if I need to.”

Now Griffin just wants one team, whether its the Browns, Dolphins, Seahawks or Redskins, to draft him.

“I hope somebody falls in love with me other than my fiancé,” Griffin said. “That’s what you want. As a player you want a team that really wants you.

“I’m looking forward to making somebody fall in love with me.”
