Vontaze Burfict may say he's the best linebacker in the 2012 NFL Draft, but evidence against that claim is mounting.
Vontaze Burfict strikes out during NFL Combine process

Much like his play on the field, Burfict was underwhelming at the NFL Combine today. He ran 40-yard dash times of 4.93 and 5.10 seconds. Burfict also finished last amongst linebackers in the broad jump and second to last in the vertical leap.
Most analysts say the Combine process shouldn’t devalue a player. But for Burfict, it certainly isn’t helping. His comments to the media Sunday also won’t win him many NFL suitors. Burfict admitted playing average in 2011, but didn’t take the blame himself.
“I could’ve played better. That’s what hurt me at times,” Burfict said. “The coaches kind of messed me up. I didn’t know if I would start a game or be benched. It hurt me, but I tried to fight through it.”
Following his average play on the field in 2011 and character issues, it may be hard for Burfict to get drafted in the first 100 picks.
