Update: After the trade was held up, the Broncos let Tebow choose between going to the Jets and the Jaguars. He picked the Jets. The parameters described below remains the same. If his start with the Jets is this rocky, just wait until actual football starts.
New York Jets trade two draft picks for Tim Tebow

This is going to be scary. According to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports, the New York Jets have traded a fourth- and sixth-round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft to the Denver Broncos for Tim Tebow and a seventh-round pick.
The Broncos drafted Tebow in the 25th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. That, along with Tebowmania running wild amongst fans, largely forced Denver to put Tebow in games. While he led to team to some big wins, he was never afforded the time to develop as an NFL-style quarterback.
But after the Broncos signed Peyton Manning this week, the Broncos were expected to quickly get rid of Tebow. They did that, sending him to the nation’s media capital. If you thought the coverage of Tebow was overblown before, just wait.
Tebow comes to New York with a career completion percentage of 47.3. That’s extremely low for an NFL quarterback. Sanchez, however, isn’t much better at 55.3 percent. Last season, Tebow threw for 1,729 and 12 touchdowns. He also ran the ball for 660 yards and six touchdowns, but did have 13 fumbles.
The official numbers of the picks will be known after the NFL owner’s meetings when compensation picks are announced.
