This year I wrote the player rankings and evaluations for the USA Today 2012 NFL Draft magazine. It’s on newsstands now and available online here. Leading up to the draft, I’ll be reprinting some of my quick reports here.
2012 NFL Draft quick report: Jaye Howard, Florida

Jaye Howard, Florida
Height: 6'3, Weight: 292 pounds
Strengths: Howard is an underrated athlete who has the ability to handle two gaps. Started games for Florida at both end and tackle. Uses his arms properly to keep linemen off his frame. Howard is still developing as a tackle, so a team will have to be patient.
Weaknesses: Inconsistent firing off the line at the snap. Will have to get stronger in the NFL because he can be pushed around some. Struggles against double teams. Produced minimally before his senior year. Gets high in his stance.
