Pro day workouts are winding to a close with stragglers like Notre Dame, SMU and McNeese State still to go. But today will be filled with substantial news — and it won’t come from the Brigham Young or Georgia Southern pro days.
2012 NFL Draft: Ryan Tannehill, Mark Barron, Trent Richardson on display today

Texas A&M's Ryan Tannehill, considered by most the No. 3 quarterback in the class, is finally working out holding his personal pro day. Tannehill missed the NFL Combine and the A&M pro day because of a broken foot that required surgery.
As Dane Brugler of CBS Sports points out, the only timing drill Tannehill will perform is the 40-yard dash. He will, however, for 30 to 45 minutes. As Brugler points out, wide receiver Jeff Fuller and running back Cyrus Gray will catch passes.
After Tannehill’s workout, we should get a better indication just how much the Cleveland Browns like Tannehill and if they’re willing to use the No. 4 pick on him.
Tannehill isn't the only top prospect on display today. Alabama safety Mark Barron will finally work out. He missed the Combine because of double hernia surgery. This is the second Alabama pro day, but this one will likely attract more personnel men than the one held on March 7. In addition to Barron working out, running back Trent Richardson will go through some drills as will linebacker Courtney Upshaw.
Richardson, who didn’t run at the Combine following knee surgery made a bold claim Wednesday night.
Gonna go for that 225 record
