Trent Richardson is the consensus No. 1 running back available in the 2012 NFL Draft after an outstanding career at the University of Alabama. His combination of power and speed is rare and impressive enough to potentially make Richardson a top ten pick in April.

At his pro day today, Richardson displayed some of that power by flattening a scout during the blocking drills. Perhaps most amusing is the fact that the scout was from the Cleveland Browns, who own the fourth overall pick in this year's draft and have been seen as a possible suitor for the former Alabama running back. That's not exactly the way to treat a potential employer is it?

In all seriousness, Richardson cemented his status as the premiere running back in this draft class today. The only thing holding him back is the declining positional value of running backs in a league dominated by passing teams.
