However, after losing in the first round in three of the last four years, the big question surrounding Philadelphia is whether this will be the year they can make some noise in the playoffs.
One of the teams they may end up facing is the Chicago Bulls, and in what could be a possible playoff preview on Sunday, the 76ers are up 46-40 at home over Chicago at the half.
Philadelphia has beaten them three straight times in the regular season, and their roster of long and athletic defenders has given the Bulls offense trouble. While Derrick Rose has 15 points on 6-11 shooting, none of Chicago's other starters have been able to get going, with Luol Deng, Richard Hamilton, Carlos Boozer and Joakim Noah combining for 11 points.
Jrue Holiday leads the 76ers with 12 points on 6-11 shooting while rookie center Nikola Vucevic has contributed 8 points on 4-6 shooting off the bench.
