Peyton Manning Press Conference: Former Colts QB Says He Can Still Play

As expected, the press conference on Wednesday with Peyton Manning and Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay was to announce that the team and their longtime superstar quarterback will be parting ways.

Following the emotional announcements by Irsay and Manning, the pair opened the floor to questions. One reporter asked whether Manning feels he is still able to play and contribute.

“I am confident. I don’t know what these next steps are. This is all new to me. This is the only team I’ve ever known and I’ve always known the month of March as the offseason, getting ready to go play for the Colts. This is uncharted territory for me.”

Manning will have no shortage of teams attempting to court him in the coming months.
