Hawk Harrelson and Steve Stone made it all of two innings in the first White Sox televised spring training game before they had to weigh in on the Cubs’ new front office and Moneyball:
“I Saw That Money Movieball”
↵Hawk: ... It’s according to how much sabermetrics the Cubs get into.
Stone: They’re not going to have a lot of power, and you can saber your metrics all you want to, if you can’t hit the ball out of the park, you better run!
Hawk: [laughs] I saw that money Movieball, Moneyball... It was absolutely amazing. Brad Pitt could make Godzilla a good movie.
↵[snip]
↵Hawk: It was a good movie, though. [self-satisifed snort]
Stone: [long pause] Good fiction usually is, Hawk.
