Chris Pokorny explains: Linebacker Scott Fujita has ended the past two seasons on the injured reserve. While he has been a veteran to rely on when he does play, the Browns desperately lack depth at linebacker and could use some youth to inject some more life into the group. His quickness and explosiveness should help the team in pass coverage, as the team had trouble covering tight ends at times last season (see Jared Cook outrunning the linebackers for an 80-yard score).

Dan Kadar responds: Most Browns fans will want to see the team come out of this draft with starters at running back, wide receiver, quarterback, right tackle and maybe even linebacker. In this scenario, the Browns come away with two wide receivers and a linebacker. Does that fill as many holes as possible? No. But adding a player like Brown gives the team insurance for when Fujita inevitably gets hurt or faces punishment for his reported role in BountyGate. The Browns have added young talent to the secondary and defensive line, but haven't addressed their linebackers. Brown could give the team someone to cover Cincinnati's Jermaine Gresham and the talented young tight ends in Baltimore. Miami running back Lamar Miller could have been a good fit as well.
