Jay Cutler to Brandon Marshall is a beautiful connection. Three years after the Broncos broke up the dangerous tandem by sending Cutler to Chicago, the two are back together again. Wide receiver has long been a position of need for the Chicago Bears, and swapping two third round picks for Marshall could be just what the doctor ordered.

But is Marshall enough to solidify this receiving core? A back injury could force Johnny Knox to miss a decent chunk of the 2012 season, so No. 15 may just be one part of the solution.
Prior to trading for Marshall, the Bears were a popular landing spot for receivers Michael Floyd and Kendall Wright in mock drafts. While the speculation has cooled some, it appears Chicago is still very much in the hunt for a wideout in the first round.
The Bears are still keen on drafting Baylor wide receiver Kendall Wright at No. 19 overall, according to Tony Pauline, one of the most reliable draft insiders in the business. Wright would likely start right away as a slot receiver, taking the place of the injured Knox.
A slow 40-time at the combine hurt Wright’s stock, but he bounced back with an impressive showing at Baylor’s pro day. In a deep draft for wide receivers, Wright could be pushed down draft boards. But there are teams in the later part of the first round that need a wide receiver, and Wright offers rare game-breaking ability.
Chicago has other holes to fill on their roster. The team would love to add another defensive end opposite Julius Peppers, and protecting Cutler remains a priority. The pick will likely come down to a wide receiver, defensive end or offensive tackle at this point. But as is always the case, value will dictate the choice.
