The 2012 NFL Draft is ripe with teams willing to trade down in the first round and stockpile picks. Finding trade partners for those teams has not been as easy of a task, however. But the New York Jets may be working the phones on draft night to move up in the order.
2012 NFL Draft: New York Jets trying to land Melvin Ingram

The Jets are targeting South Carolina defensive end Melvin Ingram and are willing to trade up to get him, according to Tony Pauline.
New York has been tied to Ingram repeatedly over the last few weeks, but it now appears the team will have to trade up to get him. The Jacksonville Jaguars, who hold the No. 7 pick in this month's draft, were reportedly throwing up smoke screens at the South Carolina pro day to feign interest in Ingram. The Jaguars would make sense as a trading partner for the Jets. They have needs at wide receiver and defensive end, and the value doesn't match up well with the seventh overall pick.
With all the rumors flying around, one has to think there will be plenty of movement on the first night of the NFL Draft.
