Darrell Scott 2012 NFL Draft quick report

This year I wrote the player rankings and evaluations for the USA Today 2012 NFL Draft magazine. It’s on newsstands now and available online here. Leading up to the draft, I’ll be reprinting some of my quick reports here.

Darrell Scott, South Florida
Ht: 6'1, Wt: 239 pounds

Strengths: Has an excellent frame to engage contact and work through the line of scrimmage. Quick feet and good athleticism in the open field for a bigger back. Picks up pass rushers decently. Solid blocking in the run game. Plays physical.

Weaknesses: Prep star who never lived up to the hype. Had only one solid year of productivity. Doesn’t have a lot of speed. Isn’t overly elusive. Effort concerns. Sat out 2010 due to NCAA transfer rules.
