This year I wrote the player rankings and evaluations for the USA Today 2012 NFL Draft magazine. It’s on newsstands now and available online here. Leading up to the draft, I’ll be reprinting some of my quick reports here.
Eric Page 2012 NFL Draft quick report

Eric Page, Toledo
Height: 5'10, Weight: 180 pounds
Strengths: Extremely productive and his play held up against BCS-conference teams. Hands are superb. Rarely body catches the football. Has high football IQ. Understands different coverages and how to exploit them. Picked apart Ohio State in 2011. Saw extra coverage his way as last season progressed. Isn’t overly special in any area, but Page will be able to contribute immediately in the NFL.
Weaknesses: May be limited to a role in the slot because of his size. Speed is only above average. Not a break away running threat. Doesn’t get a lot of yards after the catch and may strictly be a possession receiver. Mostly ran quick routes at Toledo – slants, five-yard outs and bundle receiver groupings.
Combine Quotable: I think I fit in a wide-open offense. A lot of five-set, four-sets. I think that’s the best thing for my ability, just to be able to get out into the middle of the field and use my agility and quickness.
