This year I wrote the player rankings and evaluations for the USA Today 2012 NFL Draft magazine. It’s on newsstands now and available online here. Leading up to the draft, I’ll be reprinting some of my quick reports here.
Jarius Wright 2012 NFL Draft quick report

Jarius Wright, Arkansas
Ht: 5'9 5/8, Wt: 176 pounds
Strengths: Great speed and could be a good vertical receiver if put into the right offense. Good shiftiness after the catch. Excellent first step. Could be an asset immediately in the NFL as a return man. Could be a big-play wide out in the NFL. Should do well on special teams.
Weaknesses: Needs to get stronger and has a hard time beating the jam at the line of scrimmage. Gets rerouted by the defensive back. Doesn’t have natural hands. Body catcher. Routes are limited in the red zone to slants.
Combine quotable: Size is definitely not a problem. I played in the SEC for four years, I’m a four-year starter, we have a lot of guys from the SEC who are in the NFL now. I played against most of those guys like Spikes , the good Florida teams, the good Alabama teams that have a lot of defensive players that go to the NFL.
