This year I wrote the player rankings and evaluations for the USA Today 2012 NFL Draft magazine. It’s on newsstands now and available online here. Leading up to the draft, I’ll be reprinting some of my quick reports here.
Ben Jones 2012 NFL Draft quick report

Ben Jones, Georgia
Heightt: 6’2 5/8, Weight: 304 pounds
Strengths: Jones is a smart, experienced lineman who comes from a pro-style scheme. Is excellent at moving straight forward to the second level to locate and finish off linebackers. Is often the first person off the line of scrimmage.
Weaknesses: Struggles at times to anchor his position at the line of scrimmage against the bull rush. Wasn’t used often to pull or trap. Despite being able to get to the second level, Jones struggles to change direction in open space.
Combine quotable: I’d say one of my strengths, I’m definitely a leader on our team. I can come out and get everybody on the same page on the offensive line and the offense. We have one goal, to go out and win, and I think I’m very good at doing that. One of my weaknesses is just getting to the second level faster, getting out there on the ‘backers a little quicker.
