Erick Aybar, Angels Agree To Extension

The Los Angeles Angels have now officially signed shortstop Erick Aybar to a multi-year extension worth a lot of money.

    The salient point there is “Gold Glove”, as the the 28-year-old Aybar is known for his defense, mostly, though his offense stats -- .279/.322/.421 in 2011 and .274/.317/.377 for his career -- are more than acceptable for a player who fields as well as Aybar.
