Trade talks with the Minnesota Vikings and the No. 3 pick continue to develop.
Trade talks involving Minnesota Vikings, No. 3 pick continue

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Vikings are open to fielding trades for the No. 3 pick but will wait until they’re on the clock to make a deal. Schefter notes if the Vikings can’t trade out, they’re choosing between cornerback Morris Claiborne and offensive tackle Matt Kalil and leaning toward the cornerback. As Steve Wyche reports, Claiborne is the No. 1 player on their draft board.
The idea is that the NFC North is loaded with great cornerbacks and the Vikings need help at the position. Schefter noted that it would be “difficult” to trade the third-overall pick.
If they trade the pick it will likely be to a team interested in either Kalil or Alabama running back Trent Richardson. That could be Tampa Bay Buccaneers for Richardson or the Buffalo Bills for Kalil.
For now, they’re just talks. We’ll find out in a few more hours how serious they are.
