2012 NFL Draft 1st round results

Getty Images

The first round of the 2012 NFL Draft featured a record 19 trades. None were perhaps more shrewdly executed than those by the New England Patriots. Traditionally a team that moves back, the Patriots moved up twice on Thursday for two defensive front seven players, end Chandler Jones and linebacker Dont'a Hightower.

From Washington trading up last month to pick No. 2 to the Buccaneers dropping back to No. 7, six of the top 10 picks were moved around.

The first five picks were players on offense, the first time that’s happened in the modern era. Fifteen of the first round’s 32 picks were on the offensive side of the ball. Find the full results for the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft after the jump.
