After spending the first overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft on Andrew Luck, the Indianapolis Colts have reunited their new signal caller with his favorite college target, tight end Coby Fleener.

Luck is heading to a Colts offense that lacks weapons. Reggie Wayne was re-signed this offseason, but Piere Garcon and Dallas Clark will not be back in Indianapolis next season. In order to support their franchise investment in Luck, the Colts' brass has decided to spend a second rounder on the top tight end in the draft and a familiar traget of Luck's.

Fleener is an athletic tight end, and with the emergence of Rob Gronkoswki in New England, teams across the league are attempting to find a player that can create that type of mismatch for opposing defenses. Fleener could be that guy for Indianapolis with his blazing speed.

From Dan Kadar’s scouting report of Fleener:

Throughout the offsesaon process, Fleener has become everyone’s favorite tight end. He’s got impressive size, great straight-line speed. His strengths are evident. But Fleener is more of a receiving tight end than anything else. He’s a little behind as a blocker and not overly elusive after the catch. Fleener is probably be the first tight end drafted, but he’ll need to be put in the right situation to be fully utilized.
